Convert Your Mobile Connection from Prepaid to Postpaid

Convert Your Mobile Connection from Prepaid to Postpaid

Two types of connection can be used for mobile services. One is prepaid and the other is a postpaid plan. Both the plans have their benefits, and each of them work differently. So it is important to understand both the plans and how they work. It is also possible to port your number from one to another at your convenience. Earlier, switching from prepaid to a postpaid connection was a long and tiring process. But if you switch from Airtel prepaid to postpaid, the process is streamlined and easy. The conversion process had zero downtime so you get to enjoy uninterrupted services after applying for a switch. So, first, let us understand both mobile connections and then get on with how you can convert to a postpaid plan.

Prepaid Plan

For a prepaid plan, you have to pay for your mobile services in advance. A prepaid phone plan usually includes a fixed allowance or a fixed rate for services like voice calls, text messages (SMS), and internet data. You can select a plan that suits your requirements, pay for it and start consuming the services instantly. Although once you have fully utilized your credit, the network does not allow you to use any additional services until you have recharged your prepaid plan again. With this plan, you also get the option to switch from prepaid to postpaid services.

Postpaid Plan

In a postpaid plan, you are billed for the mobile services towards the end of each month after using the services that you are entitled to. The postpaid mobile plan offers an allowance to its users that includes fixed or unlimited mobile voice calls, fixed or unlimited text messages, and a fixed amount of mobile data. With Airtel 4G postpaid plans, you get access to benefits like a family plan with a single bill and single plans that will help you save up to 25% a month. Not only that, you also get access to unlimited local/STD and national roaming calls.

Why switch to Airtel Postpaid?

If you are not happy with the postpaid services with your current service provider, you can opt to port number. It is the process of moving your existing phone number from one service provider to another. Usually, people are hesitant to go ahead with the process as it is very time consuming and requires excessive documentation. However, when switching over to Airtel postpaid, the process becomes quick and seamless. You can port your number to Airtel postpaid and track the porting status by downloading the Airtel Thanks App. This helps in planning your calls and other activities according to your MNP (Mobile Number Portability) status.
